To discover and develop human resources who will support and lead advanced semiconductor technology. We will continue to create a technological foundation for environmentally friendly and high-performance semiconductors and create a sustainable future, focusing on technology beyond the 2nm generation.

Note: Human Resource Development
– Foundation-Level Talent/ Baseline Layer:
To develop human resources capable of improving each process of design and manufacturing of semiconductors, materials, and semiconductor manufacturing equipment, as well as quality control.It is necessary to strengthen the functions of universities and technical colleges and utilize overseas human resources.
– High-Level Talent/ Core Experts:
To develop core human resources in design, manufacturing, research and development, and quality control. It is necessary to develop human resources and infrastructure through collaboration between universities across the country, industry, and globally.– Top Level Talent/Industry Architects and Leaders:

PROJECT 01
Research and Development Project of the Enhanced Infrastructures for Post-5G Information and Communication Systems/Development of Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology/Technology development for Beyond 2nm and short TAT semiconductor manufacturing
As an innovative technology for the realization of semiconductors with even higher performance than the 2nm generation (Beyond 2nm), we will develop device, material, and process element technologies for Beyond 2nm, as well as short TAT and clean process equipment technologies.
PROJECT 02
Research and Development Project of the Enhanced infrastructures for Post-5G Information and Communication Systems/Development of Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology/
Development of edge-AI accelerators implemented in 2-nm node Semiconductor Technology
As a next-generation semiconductor design technology aimed at a finer than 2nm system, we will promote the development of an edge AI accelerator dedicated to edge inference processing applications, including generative AI, through international collaboration.
Human resource development
At LSTC, we will promote the division of roles and collaboration between the educational community, research organizations, and industry, and work to develop the necessary semiconductor human resources. In addition, we will discover and develop human resources with an international perspective through global collaboration.
